Electronic Hand Controls
These controls are designed for individuals with limited use of their legs. Our electronic hand controls are well designed and have relevant Road Authority approvals.
Electronic hand controls are very similar in use to their equivalent mechanical hand controls, the difference being that they are much lighter to use. Most electronic hand controls have an electronic accelerator and they maintain the mechanical brake, although electronic brake systems are also available.
Electronic hand control systems can be fitted to most vehicles. Below are three common electronic options:
- Finger-operated “trigger” switch mounted on the handpiece.
- Under-ring or over-ring mounted on top of the steering wheel.
- Corded or wireless satellite control.
